For years, plumbers and installers have relied on whatever pencil they could grab — usually one that wasn’t designed for the realities of the job. Wet surfaces, tight gaps, awkward angles, unreliable marks, snapped leads… the humble pencil has been a constant frustration on site. Arctic Hayes decided it was time to fix that.

A Pencil Designed for the Places Normal Pencils Can’t Reach

The new Deep Hole Pencil, Deep Hole Pencil & 6pc Refill Set, and Replacement Leads Pack of 6 are engineered specifically for tradespeople who need reliable marking in tight, dark, and hard to reach spaces. This isn’t stationery. This is a tool.

Why Installers need it
Plumbers, heating engineers, kitchen fitters, sparkies — anyone who marks surfaces — will immediately see the benefit:

• Extra-long reach for marking through holes, behind pipework, inside cabinets, and around awkward fittings.
• Durable construction built for site conditions, not office desks.
• Multi colour leads (black, red, white) for marking on any surface, including shiny, wet, or dark materials.
• Refillable design means no more throwing away broken pencils.
• Precision marking that stays visible even when cutting, drilling, or soldering. This is the pencil they’ll keep in their pocket every day — and tell their mates about.

The Range

• Deep Hole Pencil & 6pc Refill Set — The complete kit for new users.
• Deep Hole Pencil — The core tool, built for durability and accuracy.
• Replacement Leads Pack of 6 — Four black, one red, one white — the perfect refill mix for any surface.

A Story That Sells Itself
“If you’ve ever tried to mark a hole you can’t reach, this pencil is for you.” It’s a product born from real frustration, designed with real tradespeople, and built to solve real problems. It’s the kind of innovation that makes installers wonder how they ever worked without it — and makes merchants wonder why they didn’t stock it sooner.
